Natura & Magniflex: Eco & Health Friendly Mattresses

Wansern Foam Industry debuted the Natura brand last year with a range of palm oil based foams for pillows and mattresses. This breakthrough catapults the Batu Pahat-based manufacturer to a pioneer status with no precedent. Until the launch of Natura, the company said no one else had been able to use the raw material successfully in an end product. Malaysia is one of the world’s largest producers of palm oil, creating an accessible and a cost-efficient supply to the maker.

WHAT:
A specialty brand of mattresses and pillows made using palm oil polyol as a petroleum replacement ingredient.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • World’s first mattress and foam manufacturer that has successfully developed and produced this agro-based ingredient for an end product.
  • Successfully replaces about 20-50 percent of petroleum-based polyol with palm oil polyol.
  • Cost savings of 10-15 percent when compared with petroleum-based products.
  • End product quality highly similar to those made of 100-percent petroleum.
