Jang Won Yoon: Transformer

With its crab-like shape, the Janus chair created by Los Angeles designer Yang Won Yoon, is able to transform from a stool into a chair with a flip of the back.

Bent On Streamlines

The Nes armchair by Singaporean designers Cici and Fay is due for its debut in January 2010. The contemporary minimalist Nes achieves streamline details using bent rubberwood. It comes in Cocoa and Black colours, veneered and with a ready stock.

green continental: Effortless Twist

Green Continental’s latest innovative offering of the Twist-Top mechanism addresses the imperfections of the standard Butterfly extensions. Doing away with the difficulties and hassles when opening and closing the extension, 550-T28 is made of rubberwood and it requires just a soft push of the finger to open and shut the table’s extension leaf.

Made of solid wood, the table TA15 JACK is designed by Philipp Mainzer. The oak table is available in white stain and thus adds a completely new appearance and colours to the E15 collection. From 2009 the TA15 JACK is also available in European oak, oiled.

Magis: Black Beauty

Designed by Jasper Morrison for Magis, the Trattoria Sedia chair features a solid beech frame in natural finish with a polycarbonate seat and back. Featured here with the Centomila Tavolo table with legs in chromed steel tube and tabletop in MDF with polymeric cover, by James Irwine.

Stately In Mahogany

As with all Charles Barr Mahogany collections of furniture, the Vermont range has been constructed from the finest Mahogany timbers of African origin. 18th Century English styling infused with a Colonial influence provides the theme for this range of furniture. Inlays and bandings traditionally used as decoration have been omitted in favour of a more simplistic design. Solid mahogany crown tops complimented by carved acanthus leaves and finely reeded cabinet stiles complete this impressive dining collection.

The Model 740 has a frame made of solid oak, which is upholstered in leather and fabric. Other leather choices are also available. This product is manufactured out of Muar.

Armani/Casa: A Butler For Berenice

The Butler Armchair comes with upholstered seat, back, and sides. It is available in black lacquered, brown oak, shiny Santos rosewood and matt Santos rosewood. Featured here with the Berenice Table. Made in Italy.

To Gather Again In March
Every March, the international furniture community gears itself up for a jam-packed calendar. Starting with MIFF in Kuala Lumpur and to finish with the CIFF-Office Show at the end of March, buyers and suppliers gather in Asia for the latest products and designs the region has to offer. This is in the form of more than a dozen exhibitions running back-to-back.
