Godrej To Capture More Shares In Home And Office Furniture

INDIA: Godrej Interio is planing to capture 23 percent share in the organised segment of Indian home and office furniture market in the next two years, estimating a revenue of Rs 62,000 crore.

“We have captured 18 percent market share of the organised sector. Our aim is to increase it to 23 percent in next two years,” said Godrej Interio Head of Integrated Marketing, Bedraj Tripathy.

Tripathy also commented that the sector is displaying signs of increased prospective business with many unorganised players moving out and creating space for organised players. He added that the economic slowdown since 2010 has not affected them and has even seen growth.

“Yes, there has been a slowdown right from 2010. Is has not affected us. Yes B2B side has been affected, but that is overshadowed by the moving out of unorganised players, which benefited the sector,”

According to The Hindu, the company transformed film star Puneeth Rajkumar’s house in the consumer campaign “Upload and Transform”. Touted the biggest campaign in the FMCD industry, the company tries to understand consumer needs and transforms their living spaces using Godrej Interio products.
